Daytona 500 Party Sunday February 14, 2010

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!  No, these are not the last four words of the National Anthem but on February 14th they might as well be as 250,000 fans in the stands and millions of TV viewers stand up and cheer for the Daytona 500.  This will be the 52nd  running of the Great American Race, the event that put NASCAR on the map.  The race has a scheduled 10:00 am start time so we will have the doors open at 8:30 am with coffee, juice and donuts provided for the tension-filled buildup and pre-race festivities.   

As the race progresses we’ll have plenty of refreshments available with your individual pit stop tickets including two high-octane drink passes with your $25/person admission fee*.  Wine will not be available that day, except for special requests and for a price.  After all, this is a NASCAR race!  Special racing simulators will be available so you can try out your skills on the Daytona 500 superspeedway course.

Among the Historic NASCAR stock cars on display that day will be the 1980 Daytona 500 winning Buddy Baker Oldsmobile and Sterling Marlin’s 1992 pole winning Maxwell House Ford Thunderbird.  There will be plenty of time for some “back in the day” bench racing and photo opportunities. 

Weather concerns?  Sorry, no rain checks but “No worries,” we’ll be partying and have plenty of backup video’s from past races and racing movies to keep everyone interested should rain delay or cancel things at Daytona.  Share your passion and excitement with others and join us on the 14th.   Register now!
